Being a doctor who reached the point of burnout, allowed me to first take time to heal and then to create The Soaring Strategy, which allows women in medicine to reconnect with their meaning and ourpose.

After 25 years in clinical psychiatry, I burned out. I resigned from my beloved job and stepped away from the relentless pressure of clinical medical practice so that I could heal my body, mind and soul.

I knew there had to be a kinder, gentler way to juggle a challenging career and a busy family life, without sacrificing my sanity or well-being. I went searching for tools that would help women in medicine manage stress and avoid burnout, without adding endless tasks to your to my to-do list. 

As a doctor, I turned to neuroscience, deepening my exploration of Positive Neuroplasticity, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Integrated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, I-Rest Yoga Nidra and Yin Yoga.
